1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all bookings and use of the website www.saleluzbeachestate.com
operated by Sal e Luz Beach Estate, located in Praia de Barra, Inhambane, Mozambique.
By making a booking, using our website, or staying at the estate, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Please read them carefully before confirming your reservation.
2. The Estate
Sal e Luz Beach Estate is a private, serviced beachfront property offering luxury accommodation in two villas:
- Villa de Luz, which sleeps 8 guests, and
- Villa de Sal, which sleeps 4 guests.
The estate provides full-board accommodation with on-site amenities including a spa, gym, private beach access, infinity pools, and staffed guest services.
3. Bookings and Reservations
3.1. Booking Process
- All bookings must be made directly with Sal e Luz Beach Estate via email, phone, or our authorised representatives.
- Bookings are confirmed only upon receipt of the required deposit payment and written confirmation from our team.
3.2. Guest Details
Guests are required to provide accurate information at the time of booking, including:
- Full names of all guests
- Nationality and contact details
- Arrival and departure dates
3.3. Minimum Stay
A minimum stay requirement may apply during peak seasons or special events. Details will be confirmed at the time of booking.
4. Rates and Payment
4.1. Rates
- Accommodation is charged at USD 400 per guest per night.
- The rate includes full board (three meals per day), selected local beverages, daily cleaning and turndown service, complimentary laundry, airport transfers, and specified experiences.
- Additional alcoholic beverages, premium drinks, or spa treatments not included in the package will be quoted separately.
4.2. Deposit and Balance
- A 50% deposit is required to confirm the booking.
- The remaining 50% balance must be paid 14 days prior to arrival.
- Bookings made within 14 days of arrival require full payment upfront.
4.3. Payment Methods
A minimum stay requirement may apply during peak seasons or special events. Details will be confirmed at the time of booking.
5. Cancellation and Refund Policy
- The deposit is non-refundable.
- If guests are unable to meet their booked dates, the booking may be moved to an alternative date within 12 months, subject to availability.
- If notice of cancellation is received less than 14 days before arrival and the balance has already been paid, the full booking fee will be retained.
- No refunds will be issued for early departures, late arrivals, or no-shows.

6. Check-in and Check-out
- Check-in time: 14:00 (2:00 PM)
- Check-out time: 10:00 (10:00 AM)
- Early check-in or late check-out may be arranged upon request and subject to availability.
7. Guest Conduct and Responsibilities
Guests agree to:
- Respect the property, staff, and other guests at all times.
- Refrain from smoking indoors.
- Avoid disruptive behaviour, loud noise, or activities that may cause damage or nuisance.
- Report any damages or maintenance issues immediately.
Guests are financially responsible for any damage, loss, or excessive cleaning resulting from their stay.
Sal e Luz Beach Estate reserves the right to request that any guest violating these terms leave the property without refund.
8. Facilities and Services
The following amenities are provided:
- Full-board meals prepared by our in-house chef
- Selected drinks (local beer, wine, water)
- Two complimentary 60-minute massages per guest during a 7-night stay
- Daily housekeeping and turndown service
- Use of pools, gym, library, and beach facilities
- Complimentary airport transfers from Inhambane Airport
Additional activities, spa treatments, and excursions (e.g., extra massages, manicures, premium beverages) can be arranged at an additional cost.
9. Liability and Indemnity
While every effort is made to ensure guest safety and comfort, Sal e Luz Beach Estate accepts no responsibility for:
- Loss, theft, or damage to personal property
- Injury, illness, or death resulting from activities or natural occurrences (including swimming, snorkelling, or excursions)
- Force majeure events such as weather conditions, flight delays, pandemics, or government actions
Guests participate in all activities at their own risk and are encouraged to obtain adequate travel insurance prior to arrival.
10. Force Majeure
Sal e Luz Beach Estate will not be held liable for any failure to perform or delay in performance of its obligations due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters, weather events, or power outages
- Acts of war, terrorism, or civil unrest
- Government restrictions or border closures
In such cases, booking dates may be rescheduled without penalty, subject to availability.
11. Website Use
- All content, text, and images on the Sal e Luz Beach Estate website are the property of the estate and may not be reproduced without permission.
- While we aim to ensure that all information is accurate and current, errors or omissions may occur.
- We reserve the right to update rates, inclusions, or terms without prior notice.
12. Privacy and Data Protection
We value your privacy and process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
By making a booking or using our website, you consent to the collection and use of your information as outlined there.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Mozambique.
Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mozambique.
